Hey there, friend! I’m Scott, the farmer at Long Limbs Farm. Once lost in the tech jungle, I ditched the screens for a more wholesome life surrounded by Christmas trees and the sweet scent of fresh flowers.
Why Flowers, You Ask?
We dreamed of a Christmas tree farm, but at their earliest, it takes 8 years to grow a Christmas tree. We figured, why not add a bit of color while we wait? Cue the entrance of the Long Limbs Flower Farm! Flowers are now capturing all our attention, and we need to remind ourselves we have thousands of little Christmas trees growing out in our fields. Our Green Commitment:
At Long Limbs Farm, we’re not just about Christmas trees and flowers – we’re about sustainable, regenerative farming. Using cover crop, no-till, no-spray practices we make our little farm a planet-friendly paradise that is healing the land. Before we bought it, our farm was an abused row crop farm that was rented to grow corn and soybeans with traditional herbicide and tilling regiments, leaving the soil ecosystem struggling. Since we got it, we have focused on regenerating the soil with cover crops, converting the majority of the farm to perennial crops, and stopping all herbicide/pesticide use. We are just starting our stewardship but making decisions with a multiple generational forecast.

How We Sprinkle Floral Magic? By bringing you the freshest, locally grown flowers that haven’t racked up more air miles than a frequent flyer. It’s like a bouquet straight from your neighbor’s backyard.

Beyond the dirt-stained jeans and flower crowns, my personal mission? Getting my kids knee-deep in nature. Watching them understand the love and effort behind what they eat and use – now, that’s the real harvest.
